Take deep breaths...

If you are a bride and feeling a bit overwhelmed by the planning of your wedding and all things wedding related, trust me: you're not alone!  Do I actually need a wedding planner? Favors? How much is a reasonable price for flowers, catering, a wedding cake?? "My parents aren't paying for my wedding, so how the heck am I going to afford all of this?"

Breathe!

Here's a little advice coming from someone who is very involved in all things bridal: there is no 'right' way... do it your way! Every wedding, every family, every bride and every day is different.

Your vendors are the ones who will make or break your big day so make sure you do your homework - check up on your vendors prior to signing a contract. Read their reviews, talk to past clients, a quick google-search will tell you a lot.

Theknot.com is a great resource, the local message boards / 'knotties' will gladly tell you the experience they had with their vendors after their own wedding has passed. There are resources out there for you to use, so take advantage of them. And, if the idea of 'choosing vendors' overwhelms you, hire a wedding planner - its their job to know the vendors they recommend and how to best work within your budget. Wedding planners can often save you more money by recommending vendors that will work within your budget and negotiating contracts than you will pay them for their services.

And smile, he picked you. That means... in his eyes you are far superior to all the other options out there! Go you!
